My 2013 fall racing schedule was very ambitious. I ran 2 half marathons and 1 full marathon within the 4 weeks leading up to the 2013 New York City Marathon. I had 13 days between running the Detroit Marathon and the NYC Marathon. The day before the NYC marathon, my legs were still fatigued and I hadn't been able to to complete a training run without experiencing some calf muscle soreness during the interim. My running buddy had purchased a babyBelle bodybuffer at the 2012 Boston Marathon expo and suggested that I give it a try. I spent the afternoon buffing my major leg muscle groups and could immediately tell that blood flow was increasing to the treated areas and my legs felt more relaxed.
